The Seven Churches of the Apocalypse are seven early Christian churches located in Asia Minor. They are also known as the Seven Churches of Asia (named after the Roman province, not the continent).
The seven churches are mentioned in the Book of Revelation:

Write in a book what you see and send it to the churches which are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamum, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.
(Rev. 1:11)

Today, the Seven Churches represent unique sites, popular tourist attractions in western Asia Minor, located in or near modern-day Turkish cities[1]:

Ephesus,

Smyrna (now Izmir),

Pergamum,

Thyatira (near Akhisar),

Sardis,

Philadelphia (now Alaşehir),

Laodicea (east of Denizli).
The Christian population in these cities has been virtually nonexistent since the population exchange according to the Treaty of Lausanne (1923).
The seven golden lampstands mentioned in Revelation represent the angels of the Seven Churches (Rev. 1:20).[2]
